Event Title
Sufficient Dimension Reduction: Sliced Inverse Regression and Fourier Transform Approach
Location
Carson Taylor Hall Rm 322
Start Date
13-12-2018 3:30 PM
Description
The big data era poses great challenges as well as opportunities for researchers to develop efficient statistical approaches to analyze massive data. Sufficient dimension reduction (SDR) is such an important tool in modern data analysis and has received extensive attention in both academia and industry. This talk will introduce the SDR approach and discuss an application to health insurance coverage based on the US Census Bureau’s 2015 Planning Database.
