U.S. Army uniform, sleeping bag, and service records of Winnfield, Louisiana native Sgt. Plase E. Maxey, who entered service at Camp Livingston, Louisiana; was separated at Camp Shelby, Mississippi; and served as an artillery gun crewman in the campaigns of Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, southern France, the Rhineland, and in central Europe.
